mrs pete’s shed was opened in 2018 by husband and wife duo Shelly and Peter Burrows. Their unique vision to bring a little slice of French vintage heaven to the Southern Highlands was brought to life through a humble little store on the main street of Bowral offering a beautiful range of fashion, accessories and gifts.

Redefining Fashion.
With a background in fashion and forty years of retail experience, creator Shelly Burrows has held various positions in wholesale, retail, product buying, and wardrobe styling. Shelly opened her first lifestyle store and family business ‘meshea lifestyle’ in Leichhhart in 2002.
The beautiful store named after her two daughters was open for ten years. Following this, Shelly and her family decided to make the move to the Southern Highlands for a country experience. Having built and sold 5 of our 7 stores. Building them and passing the baton .
Shelly’s passion and love for the elegance of French fashion was the inspiration behind mrs petes shed. Shelly believes that every woman has the ability to dress confidently, and feel beautiful.

This is store number seven our smallest store & only carrying Lifestyle Clothing and Accessories, my goal was to have this store with a country relaxed vibe, we play French music most days.
Here in the highlands my husband had petes shed, selling old furniture and restoring furniture for a while and was known.. So I thought I would run with being the mrs.. so it was ,born mrs petes shed.
We are super happy ladies have loved our look our philosophy and both enjoy the experience in store and our little on line store,, we are also owners of Saint Eloi Guest house, one house le Jardin is a 4 bedroom great gals getaway, the other a little studio & is a little couples retreat.
mrs petes shed encompasses the importance of layering with style. Our range focuses on neutral textures and colours, offering an assortment of cotton, linens, wool and bamboo (and maybe some animal print if Shelly is feeling brave!).
Shelly is dedicated to providing style and classic looks to our everyday wardrobes, without following the trends of fast fashion and mass consumption. The focus on ethics and affordable prices is the basis of the ongoing customer support surrounding the business.
